LEARNING, TEACHING OUR YOUTH.

As we start the projects we are able to have our youth come in from local schools and the local surrounding community areas to work with them in the industry of not only the arts of the studio BUT in Music, Theater and Business here on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.

GREY WILLOW MUSIC YOUTH ACTIVITIES PROGRAMS

Our Vision of the Grey Willow Music Program is to help the youth to cope, heal, and thrive through musical exploration. The Youth Music Program will provide “Music as Therapy” sessions, where youth participate in drum circles and sing-along groups that celebrate the therapeutic aspects of music. Song-writing workshops and rock band camps will also be provided to allow the youth to learn to play instruments, write songs and record them. The Youth Music Program will also provide artist mentorship with some of the instructors as well as older students mentoring younger students with their artistic development.

The Youth Music Program will work with youth who would otherwise not have opportunities to learn music/Recording due to challenges such as living in the foster care system, experiencing mental health issues, exhibiting extreme behaviors, or coming from families with limited economic means. The Youth Music Program wants to partner with tribal agencies focused on the youth and schools around the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in order to provide music education programs to these children.

Music Lessons Age 12-18

Live Performance Lessons on Drums, Piano, Bass Guitar, Singing Our instruction focusing on the art of live performance. The "Let’s Rock" Band program offers a life-changing experience for students who want to learn all there is to know about their instrument and play in a band. Whether your child is a complete beginner or an advanced student, they can join in on the fun of the "Let’s Rock" Band program. Students are scheduled for their music lessons & band based on age and experience so they are always learning at their optimum level first sessions will be ages 12 - 18 years of age.

Students can enroll anytime! We are on a rolling schedule so when it works for you to get started we're ready. We'll identify a time to start one-on-one with your child for a short assessment period. Within a few weeks, we'll have a band for you to join. Don't worry, our program is for ALL experience levels from beginner to advanced.

We are putting together class room, as well as some of our great musicians in our area to help you learn with our "Let's Rock Program" If you don't have an instrument don't worry instruments will be available for students to master what interest you, for you music writers we will have a studio available to start laying down the tracks and help you every step of the way.

Have we mentioned the "Let's Rock Program is FREE for the communities of Standing Rock Reservation, however we can only do 10 students in each district and hoping to grow with you and support all our talented kids on Standing Rock.
